Drawing Humans: The Face & Figure

February 15 – March 15, 2022 (5 Sessions)
In this class students will learn to draw the human figure using a model, as well as receive an introduction to the portrait and self-portrait. We will study the human form and practice a variety of concepts, including contour, gesture, shading, composition and perspective. The class will use basic drawing tools, including pencil and charcoal. Some previous drawing experience will be helpful but is not required. Model fees and drawing supplies for use in class are included in the materials fee. This class is limited to five students, you must be vaccinated to attend and wear a mask at all times.
Alice has been a life-long lover of all kinds of drawing. She has taught a variety of classes at the PCA, including drawing, printmaking and mixed media, as well as Middle and High School Art classes in public school settings in Oregon and Washington. Alice enjoys long walks with her dog and traveling with her husband Brian.
