J.D. Smith’s impact on local teens has been significant, from being a co-founder of Rock & Roll Camp and the FREE Art Rocks Teens program at PCA to advocating for other free and low-cost opportunities for families. Since 2013 he’s presented an event, originally called Tales & Tunes, where we pass the hat for a local teen who is going off to study art or music. In the last few years he’s partnered with local musician J.D. Kindle, hence The Two J.D.s, and we’re proud to serve as the venue.

J.D. Kindle’s music paired with J.D. Smith’s original writing and storytelling makes for an engaging evening. We’ll serve pizza and beverages, and all proceeds will support Alexander’s college expenses.

This year, while J.D. Smith is recovering at home, his work will be read by Alice Thomas, Michael Greear, and Brian Purnell.

Join us, and support a great cause – music education!
