Ways to Get Involved

PCA has so many moving parts that it takes a large crew of staff and volunteers maintain the high level of service delivery people have come to expect from us. We’d love to have you on the team! Some volunteer activities are short-term, project-based tasks. Others are long-term projects where you can use your special skills to leave your mark. Here’s what we have available right now:

Press Clipping

This task requires someone who’s comfortable working online and involves searching for news and editorial articles that mention PCA, saving them in a digital archive, and creating paper copies for our print archive. Time required: Flexible, from 2 hour sessions to taking responsibility for a long-term (2 month) project. Work place: Flexible – use our computers and wireless or work from home.

Silk Screen Printing

Want to learn how to create cool printed pieces? You’ll use our Gocco printer to hand-print the thank you cards that we send to donors and others. You’ll collaborate on the design with the staff and take responsibility for the overall project. Requires someone who can stand for extended time periods and doesn’t mind repetitive tasks. Time required: Two hours of design work, 4 hours of printing/folding time. Days/hours flexible.

Pendleton Foundation Trust Fine Craft Gallery Shop Keeper

Do you have great customer service skills and enjoy working with the public, but just in small doses? This volunteer opportunity entails learning the ins and outs of the Pendleton Foundation Trust Fine Craft Gallery sales area and greeting guests. Time required: One 12-4PM shift each (or most) Tuesday. People needed: 2
