THANKS GO OUT TO: Travelers Inn & Studio 421 for supporting this year’s Rock & Roll Camp - we couldn’t do it without you!

If you would like to contribute time or money to the Art Rocks Teens program, or know a teen who should be on our mailing list, please contact Elizabeth Scheeler at 541-278-9201 or via email.

A BIG thank you to In Tune Guitar Picks for their support.

Art Rocks Teens is a special program just for teens. If you are 13 to 18 years old, all classes at the Arts Center free, and every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there are classes created by teens for teens. A student committee meets regularly to decide which classes would be fun, and the members also help with publicity, long-range planning and special events.

Since the program’s inception in the fall of 2005, we have offered a wide range of classes, including photography, oil painting, Halloween costume creations, fiction writing, ceramics, garage band, jewelry making, leather braiding, guitar, film making, cartooning, professional make-up application, chain mail jewel, soap making and much more. Every six weeks or so, a new slate of classes is offered.

Our teachers are local artists, retired teachers and even the teens themselves. We are always open to new ideas and love to see new faces in the building. This is a great place the kids to hang out after school, visit with friends and learn new skills.  We even feed them.

The classes fill up quickly so be sure to register as early as possible. If you don’t get your first choice this time, we’ll work hard to make sure you get it in the future. The popular classes are usually offered several times a year so everyone should have an opportunity to get the class or classes they want.
